Job Description
- Oversee all accounting operations, including ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll processing.
- Develop and implement robust financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses for executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, providing strategic insights to support business objectives.
- Coordinate and manage external audits, ensuring adherence to local and international accounting standards.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial risk, recommending corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and optimize financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and company policies.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting operations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification preferred).
- Minimum 10–15 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including at least 3–5 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
- Solid knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) and local tax regulations.
- Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
- Strong background in audit processes and internal controls implementation.
- Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with ability to mentor and develop staff.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken); Arabic is a plus.
- Previous experience in the agricultural sector or fertilizer & chemicals industry is a must.
