CREWING OFFICER

• Ensuring that all vessels crew are fully fit in terms of crewing requirement to be able to trade as per minimum safe manning requirements.
• Ensure that vessels are manned in accordance with aforementioned regulations.
• Organize crew changes, making travel arrangements for on/off singers, local and overseas.
• Ensuring that crew/officers within the fleet are properly certified and have the necessary certifications as per international regulations mainly STCW.
• Ensure that all sea staff meets all flag state and ISM regulations with regards to certification.
• Ensuring the crew related expenses including vitalizing, crew welfares are looked after.
• Monitoring and keeping track of crew/officers performance and crew administration while being on board.
• Maintains the electronic database by uploading and updating sea staff certification data whenever a crew member joined a ship.
• Involved, with the assistance of crewing department / crewing manning agencies, in new recruitment by following the correct protocol of getting the necessary approvals and follow up process.
• Provide necessary assistance to crewing department with follow up information as required
• Liaise with the interested parties on the repatriation of shipboard crew members and the preparation of the necessary documents and arrangements for such purpose
• Responsible for managing day to day crew related matters. Communicate on daily basis with the project manager I works manager / supdt, onsite.
• Ensure that the HSE requirements are observed in the execution of all activities.
