Job Description

  • To design, implement and manage a sports and activities programs.
  • To monitor the quality and effectiveness of the programs on a regular basis.
  • To plan, implement and manage a range of social activities and trips at weekends and evenings.
  • To ensure the venues are booked well in advance for sporting and other activities.
  • To ensure trips and activities risk assessments are completed and signed off in good time.
  • To ensure trips are self-financing and include low-cost options.
  • To ensure Employees are rewarded for sports and cultural activities.
  • To ensure attendance registers and reports are maintained and produced as required
  • To promote the above sporting/social/trip programs to achieve significant participation rates.
  • To ensure advertising is done well in advance of events.
  • To oversee the taking of pictures at the sports events and during activities to be posted on different communications channels.
  • To deal with staff issues/emergencies as and when they arise.
  • To plan, design and implement systems, policies and procedures aimed at meeting the objectives of providing all programs.
  • To develop a competitive sports programs
  • To maintain a database to enable the employees to be aware of which of the sporting programs detailed above each Employee has participated in – with a focus on Healthy Lifestyles.
  • To produce statistics and data on a regular basis to line manager with action plans considering age and ethnicity etc. to ensure maximum participation.
