Job Description
The Senior Structural Engineer will be responsible for steel structural engineering standards, specifications and design practices to facilitate successful development of construction documents for steel structures especially space truss structures.
- Project delivery and design management of a variety of large steel structures.
- Generate the structural design documents and calculation packages.
- Thorough knowledge of engineering standards, codes, and other applicable guidelines.
- Coordinate work with other disciplines such as architectural, mechanical, electrical, geotechnical, etc
- Lead project teams to ensure that projects are completed on time and to the required quality.
- Provision of mentorship and leadership to a team of engineers and drafters
- Ensuring technical work and design calculations being of the highest standard
- Help to ensure that all deliverables meet , client's explicit and implicit needs and expectations.
- Engage with other project team members to maximize the learning process and ensuring successful project outcomes.
Job Requirements
- Bsc. in civil / structural engineering.
- 7-10 years of experience in the field of steel structural design.
- Proven experience in design of building structures according to international codes (AISC,ASCE,IBC ,etc.).
- Strong experience with structural design software such as Staad Pro, sap and robot structural analysis.
- A sound understanding of Microsoft Excel spreadsheet calculations.
- Exposure working on international building projects is preferred.
- Excellent use of English language for written and verbal communications.
- Pro active, ambitious and career driven.
- Able to lead a team of structural engineers and draughtsman.
- Knowledge and experience in steel design with( robot structural analysis) software . is preferred.
