Job Description
- Reviews in a systematic way all plant operating indexes and compares them with designed and approved parameters, conducting gap analysis, i.e. health checks, and identifies potential discrepancies, proposing solutions for improvement and compliance with specifications
- Develops regular reports concerning the inspection results and, upon approval, communicates the results with the respective engineers in order to generate corrective action plans for identified discrepancies
- Collects, analyses and measures all available data, proposing preventive maintenance actions, so as to optimize equipment reliability and reduce downtime
- Provides technical engineering assistance to plant personnel across manufacturing process, diffusing technical knowledge and expertise, so that established standards of reliability and cost are met and improvements in plant performance are implemented
- Cooperates with technical and other internal departments, aiming to promote effective information flow and timely improvements to manufacturing process
- Participates in the determination of preventive maintenance schedule in area of responsibility, in order to maintain plant operational efficiency
- Develops “Condition Based Maintenance” (CBM) in the area of responsibility, using predictive maintenance techniques and systems, e.g. vibration analysis, thermography, non-destructive testing, lubrication monitoring and analysis etc., in order to identify and report potential discrepancies from machinery specifications that will contribute to the maximization of plant availability and the reduction of the overall operating cost
- Participates in the development of new projects, measuring and analyzing results, in order to assist in the effectiveness of the projects
- Monitors performance of the equipment according to the defined KPI’s, providing all necessary information to the production and maintenance departments, thus enabling the most effective optimization of production
- Develops analytical reporting on issues identified during the inspections developed, providing the necessary information to the Inspection Section Head, in order to proceed accordingly to all necessary steps that will prevent from future severe malfunctions
- Uploads all relevant information to the computer monitored maintenance system (CMMS), so as to keep track of all measurement results
- Participate in the preparation of the maintenance schedule, i.e. daily/weekly/monthly etc., contributing to the efficiency and more effective utilization of maintenance resources
- Ensures that safe work rules and practices are understood, implemented and consistently followed by all employees, in order to meet company, corporate and governmental standards
- Follows the appropriate health, safety and environmental practices in area of responsibility, identifying and reporting issues of consideration in order to meet company, corporate and governmental standards
- Participates or leads ad-hoc projects that may go beyond his/hers formal accountabilities, so as to satisfy and respond accordingly to business needs
Job Requirements
Inspection Section Head:
- Male or Female.
- BSc. of Mechanical Engineering - Electro-mechanics.
- +7 Years of solid experience in a similar field.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- Excellent user of MSO.
- CMRP Certified will be an advantage.
- Primavera or MS projects are a must.
