- Plan and direct the day-to-day accounting activities and operations, bookkeeping, compliance, and stock control
- Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable/receivable, bank accounts, VAT recording, cash receipts, maintaining general ledger system, budgeting, budget tracking, and cash forecasting
- Managing the daily operations of stock analysis and control.
- Presenting recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies
- Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
- Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles
- Coordinating and completing annual audits
- Assigning projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Meeting financial accounting objectives
- Issuing financial statements regularly (P&L on a monthly basis and full statements every 3 months)
- Preparing documents for bank facilities when needed
- Establishing and maintaining fiscal files and records to document transactions.
- Auditing accounts to ensure compliance with state regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit
- Recruiting and hiring of accounting staff and conducting performance evaluations
- Coordinating training programs for new staff and identifying training needs for current staff
