Job Description
- Monitor and optimize processes to maximize production yield, minimize downtime, and meet quality specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess equipment performance, identify maintenance needs, and recommend improvements.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions to maintain smooth operations and prevent disruptions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including maintenance, engineering, and production, to plan and execute maintenance activities, turnarounds, and shutdowns.
- Develop and implement operating procedures, guidelines, and safety protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Analyze operational data, such as production rates, energy consumption, and environmental factors, to identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.
- Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and risk assessments to enhance safety and prevent future incidents.
- Provide technical guidance and support to operators and technicians, ensuring proper training and adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to drive continuous improvement and maintain operational excellence.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Advanced degrees are a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in refinery operations, preferably in a process engineering or operations engineering role.
- Strong knowledge of refinery processes, such as distillation, cracking, hydrotreating, and catalytic reforming.
- Familiarity with process control systems, distributed control systems (DCS), and other relevant software tools.
- Solid understanding of safety standards, environmental regulations, and industry best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve operational issues.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
