Job Description
- Implement and manage Active Directory infrastructure, including DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy, ensuring secure and efficient user access and management.
- Design, deploy, and maintain VMware private cloud environments using VMware Aria (formerly vRealize) suite, including Operations, Automation, and Orchestrator for infrastructure management.
- Configure and manage Nutanix private cloud environments, including AHV and Prism Central, with a focus on high availability and disaster recovery.
- Administer and support Microsoft Azure AD and other related Microsoft cloud services.
- Design, deploy, and manage Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions (e.g., VMware Horizon, Citrix, Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop) to ensure optimal virtual desktop delivery for end-users.
- Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot server, network, VDI, and cloud infrastructure performance, ensuring minimal downtime and seamless operations.
- Provide proactive analysis and resolution of system, VDI, and cloud infrastructure performance issues.
- Collaborate with internal and client teams to integrate VDI and cloud solutions with existing IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth interoperability.
- Generate and maintain technical documentation and performance reports for clients and internal use.
- Adhere to IT Change Management processes, ensuring all changes related to system, VDI, cloud, and network infrastructure are tracked, managed, and documented.
- Ensure the security of VDI, cloud, and directory services, implementing best practices for access management and system protection.
Job Requirements
Technical Qualifications:
- Strong expertise in Directory Services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP).
- Proficiency in VMware platforms, including vSphere, vCenter, and VMware Aria (vRealize) for private cloud management.
- Experience with Nutanix private cloud infrastructure, including AHV and Prism Central.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Windows Server environments.
- Expertise in VDI solutions, such as VMware Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, or Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs) and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with backup, disaster recovery, and security best practices for virtual, VDI, and cloud environments.
- Automation skills with PowerShell or VMware PowerCLI are a plus.
- Troubleshoot system and VDI issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
- Proactively analyze and resolve system, VDI, and network performance problems.
- Generate detailed performance reports, diagnostics, and monitoring metrics for clients and internal teams.
- Ensure seamless integration of monitoring tools with existing IT infrastructures.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to provide proactive support, recommendations, and improvements.
- Follow IT Change Management processes, ensuring all monitoring changes are tracked, managed, and documented.
- Provide continuous support for clients, ensuring efficient system monitoring and alert management.
Certificates:
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- A university degree is a requirement.
- ITI or NTI certification is a plus.
