Job Description
The Merchant Acquisition Specialist is responsible for identifying, approaching, and onboarding strategic merchant partners to join our loyalty and gift card ecosystem. This role plays a crucial part in expanding the company's merchant network, enhancing customer value, and supporting our core offerings in the loyalty and rewards space.
- Identify, qualify, and onboard new merchant partners (retailers, service providers, e-commerce platforms) into the loyalty program and gift card marketplace.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of merchant prospects aligned with strategic categories (e.g., fashion, food & beverage, entertainment, travel).
- Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, and marketing opportunities with merchants.
- Collaborate with internal teams (product, marketing, legal, finance) to ensure smooth onboarding and integration of merchant partners.
- Track KPIs such as acquisition rate, activation, engagement, and ROI of merchant partnerships.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies in the loyalty and digital gift card space.
- Develop creative value propositions tailored to merchant business needs and customer acquisition goals.
