Job Description

Contribute to the development of tools for the project implementation and to the capacity building of the project team, partners and other stakeholders.

Tasks: 

  • Participate to the selection and contextualization of the modalities of intervention in compliance with HI technical framework.
  • Contribute to the development and/or adaptation of methodologies and to the development of high complexity technical tools, including full training packages (training needs assessment tools, training manuals and materials, pre-post training tests), users’ guidelines, etc.;
  • Develop or adapt low/medium complexity technical tools
  • Organize and/or participate to the testing of the tools whenever appropriate and adjust them according to the results of the test
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the use of the tools
  • Contribute to assessing HI project team and/or project partner capacity building needs, to define a suitable training plan and training package along with the relevant technical specialist.
  • Train project’s partners and relevant actors and stakeholders on the relevant inclusion methodologies and tools in coordination with the relevant Technical Specialist/RTU
  • Produce training and coaching reports and coordinate feedbacks with the service providers/employers/NGO for strengthening continuous staff development

Support the implementation of inclusion related activities.

Tasks: 

  • Provide ad-hoc support, coaching, and follow up to the project’s partners, actors, and stakeholders during the implementation of the following activities:
    • Provide technical support to partners supported under projects on disability and inclusion. 
    • Facilitate the communication with partners, through being the focal point within the supported partners.
    • Support the implementation of the twin-track approach by providing support to partners and empowering persons with disabilities in the community.
    • Support the organization in assessing the inclusion level of their activities and project and making action plans towards inclusive services. 
    • Mentor and follow up on the implementation of activities with the supported partners.
    • Set up a coaching and mentoring mechanism for each supported partner. 
    • Fill the relevant documents/tools/reports for each partner in addition to update the database related to each project.
    • Support community leaders on raising awareness sessions within the community.
  • Directly carry out the following activities:
    • Train and coach project partners in using the modified or/and developed technical tools to implement activities within the approved framework and to collect required data.
    • Support project partners to define capacity building plans and monitor implementation of the action plan.
    • Support project partners to identify persons with disabilities and enrolled them in their activities.
    • Produce e-learning materials for training and awareness sessions. 
    • Assess accessibility of the infrastructure for the supported partners.

Contribute to project’s monitoring, lessons learning, and reporting 

Tasks: 

  • Contribute to the development of high complexity data collection tools for documenting indicators, under the lead of Relevant Technical Specialist/ RTU and MEAL; develop low/medium complexity data collection tools in collaboration with the RTU and MEAL.
  • Collect data in relation with core tasks and contribute to the measurement of the progress made. 
  • Support the Unit  Manager in analyzing the data collected and in identifying necessary adjustments in the implementation framework to improve the quality and impact of the intervention
  • Contribute to the identification of good practices. 
  • Develop case studies and success stories to illustrate changes induced by the project and for communication use
  • Contribute to planning and produce activity reports in relation with core tasks 
  • Contribute to the production of the donor report, 
  • Contribute to the preparation and implementation of project quarterly review 
  • Participate in the organization of technical reviews and technical missions
  • Participate in the professional network at the national level in the relevant field of expertise 
  • Contribute to the development of lessons learning exercise, data collection and analysis and the production of dissemination documents
  • Facilitate the field implementation of project’s evaluations and of researches

Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field;

 Work Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in inclusive employment/education, or economic empowerment, in emergency and/or development context
  • Skills in developing training and providing coaching for capacity building
  • Ability to develop IEC materials
  • Analytical skills
  • Ability to work with partners, civil society organizations or public authorities
  • Skills in user-centered approach
  • Knowledge of referrals mechanisms
  • An advanced degree in social science, development studies or inclusion will be an asset

Skills/Competencies

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including WORD, POWERPOINT, and EXCEL

Languages

  • Excellent knowledge (written and spoken) of Arabic and very good knowledge (written and spoken) of English.
