Summary
Under general direction, acting on own initiative, provides highly complex analytical and specialized administrative support or one or more department or administrative unit by coordinating office services, such as personnel, budget preparation and reconciliation, records control, and management of projects.
Major Activities and/or Essential Functions
- Executes special or continuous research and complex data analysis.
- Analyzes complex problems, determines approach, compiles and analyzes data.
- Contacts company personnel at all levels to gather information and prepare reports.
- Prepares highly complex reports with recommendations for action by supervisor.
- Composes, prepares and edits letters, reports, and other correspondence.
- Acts as coordinator for highly complex departmental projects to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Operates general office equipment to produce produces a variety of materials.
- Uses various software packages for word processing, spreadsheets, graphics and databases etc.
- Maintains general knowledge of departmental and company policies.
- Provides advise to department based on knowledge of policies.
- Answers mail, phone calls and inquires on own initiative, routing correspondence to appropriate party.
- Plans meetings, presentations, events etc. between departments and outside parties
- Performs budget preparation and control activities.
- Serves as administrative liaison with others within and outside the company regarding administrative issues related to purchasing, human resources, facilities, and operations.
- Provides work leadership to lower level administrative staff.· Individual contributor continuing to gain knowledge in administrative support
Job Requirements
- Requires 2 – 4 years related experience with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments. Work is reviewed for accuracy and overall adequacy.
