Job Description

  • Oversee daily operations of the spare parts department, ensuring efficient inventory management and timely order fulfillment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize stock levels, reduce excess inventory, and minimize shortages.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring the timely procurement of quality parts.
  • Monitor and analyze sales trends, inventory turnover, and customer demand to forecast future requirements.
  • Lead, mentor, and train a team of parts professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations within the spare parts department.
  • Collaborate with workshops to coordinate parts availability and support aftersales operations.
  • Implement and maintain effective systems for tracking parts usage, returns, and warranty claims.
  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets, controlling costs while maximizing profitability.
  • Generate regular reports on inventory status, supplier performance, and departmental KPIs for senior management using internal ERP program.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in spare parts management, preferably within the automotive industry.
  • Proven track record in inventory control, procurement, and supplier relationship management.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical abilities to forecast demand and optimize stock levels.
  • Solid understanding of automotive parts cataloging, logistics, and warehousing processes.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills for dealing with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and ERP systems.
  • Ability to work onsite in a fast-paced, operational environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and achieve departmental targets.
