Job Description
- Monitor the operations of the finance department, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures and providing leadership and support to the finance team.
- Performance management of the finance team, assisting in the design of objectives and KPIs and a framework for these to be met, and participating in performance reviews and annual appraisals.
- Provide and interpret financial reports and information to senior management, including recommendations for further action.
- Maintain the financial health of the organization.
- Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plan.
- Prepare financial projections, monitoring and reporting on trends.
- Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
- Prepare the company’s budget in conjunction with the Head of Finance, reporting variances and advising accordingly.
- Liase with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
- Correspond with various other departments with regard to interdepartmental issues and company plans.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role.
- Proven ability to manage, guide and lead a finance team.
- Experience in the financial sector with previous possible roles such as financial analyst.
- Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns.
- Proficient user of finance software.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
- Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
- BS/MA degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
- Professional qualification such as CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus
