Job Description
- Ensure supply contingency plans and strategy are up-to-date and easily activated in the event primary suppliers are unable to perform as required.
- Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities
- Confer with supply chain planners to forecast demand or create supply plans that ensure the availability of materials or products.
- Manage activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory control, warehousing, or receiving.
- Design or implement supply chains that support business strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, or cost reduction strategies.
- Develop annual plans with prioritization and resourcing
- Address tactical and strategic supply chain issues
- Oversee analysis of supply chain effectiveness, vendor risk, and vendor performance.
- Implement new or improved supply chain processes.
- Work to develop efficient, cost-effective supply chain strategies and manage university inventory.
- Achieves financial objectives by anticipating requirements; submitting information for budget preparation; scheduling expenditures; monitoring costs; analyzing variances.
- Accountable for all elements of Logistics, within the head office and 2 campuses.
- Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability and supplier's reputation, and performance history.
- Enhance supplier development by communicating performance standards and developing joint improvement.
- Develops the Supply Chain staff to meet the changing needs of new projects and technologies; and varying staff strengths.
- Prepares required periodic reports and attending management meetings.
- Ensure all supplier contracts are complete, properly executed, and have considered all cost variables.
Job Requirements
- Graduated from Faculty of Logistics and Supply Chain Management OR Faculty of Commerce
- V. good command of English
- MBA in Supply Chain Management is preferred
- Excellent communication skills
