Job Description
- Responsible for CAD development for Synopsys, Cadence and Mentor tools.
- Develops and applies CAD software engineering methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of technical problems.
- Executes projects from start to completion.
- Work closely with the IC design team throughout the design cycle to develop and maintain the projects' work areas.
- Work closely with semiconductor foundries to submit the final database and fill the required forms for the tape out
- Plan technical projects in the design and development of CAD software.
- Define and select new approaches and implementation of CAD software engineering applications and design specifications and parameters.
- Apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
- Develops routines and utility programs.
- Determines and develops recommendations to solutions.
- Resolves issues in creative ways.
- Prepares design specifications, analysis and recommendations for presentation and approval.
- Exercises judgment to determine appropriate action.
- Implementations and solutions are reviewed for accuracy and overall adequacy.
- Builds productive internal/external working relationships.
- Contacts are primarily within business unit and occasional organizational and external customer contacts on routine matters.
Job Requirements
- BSc in Electronics Engineering with 0-5 years of experience in CAD.
- Good knowledge of Synopsys or Cadence or Mentor CAD development.
- Good knowledge of setting up PDKs.
- Good knowledge of version control systems.
- Good knowledge of AMS design flow and challenges.
- Good knowledge of Linux environment and shell scripting.
- Tcl scripting and any text manipulation language is a plus.
- Has a strong desire to learn and explore new technologies.
- Demonstrates good analysis and problem-solving skills.
