Main Purpose:

  • As directed by the Business Unit leadership and in collaboration with the PepsiCo Office of Global Security, ensure that the businesses in Egypt benefit from effective and sustainable security programs that mitigate risk to our people, assets and objectives while protecting PepsiCo Brands.
  • Execute operational implementation of strategic planning as directed by the Regional Security Manager - MENA
  • Deputies for the Regional Security Manager as and when the situation dictates.
  • Physically located in Egypt, the role would serve as a Business Unit asset in responding to all emerging security risks and incidents and / or any tasks given by MENA Regional Security Manager (RSM) throughout PepsiCo Egypt’s area of responsibility.

Accountabilities:

The principal accountability of the Security Associate Manager - West Cairo is driving the implementation and execution of security, crisis management, business continuity management strategies, plans and protocols, and best practices across the country’s businesses. The highlights of these accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • In line with the region’s broader strategy, implement a country-wide security plan to identify, assess and mitigate risks to PepsiCo’s associates, assets, and brand/reputation.
  • Oversee and facilitate the ongoing strengthening of a sustainable, country-wide Crisis Management and Business Continuity Planning and capability.
  • Through training and audit validate that the BU’s Crisis Management and Business Continuity and plans are current and functional.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with, and provide consultation to, local management teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills to be able to prioritize responsibilities meet deadlines and work in a multi-task environment
  • Plan and oversee periodic security self-assessments and tri-annual security risk assessments at the BU’s sites in order to identify critical vulnerabilities and to assist in closing these risks through cost-effective, best practice security enhancements.
  • Maintain contacts with security partners at foreign embassies, other multi-national companies, and professional security organizations to benchmark and promote security best practices.
  • In close consultation with the Regional Security Manager, analyze security risks inherent in undertaking new business ventures and offer expertise-based risk mitigation measures.
  • Within the BU, develop and maintain working relationships with national and local security, emergency response, law enforcement, and regulatory authorities as well as with security managers of other large multinational companies … to be able to have wide and updates on country main threats and risks.
  • Ensure compliance with PepsiCo AMENA Security Risk Management System and supporting standards and procedures.
  • Develop and deliver security awareness for PepsiCo associates and training programs to security associates (Outsource (OS) and Full-time Employee (FTE)).
  • Deliver a BU-aligned CAPEX security plan that ensures effective security spend.
  • Develop and deliver security awareness and training programs.
  • Advise and assist before, during and after security incidents, including on-the-spot risk assessments, security advice to business travelers, escorting and evacuation if instructed.

Job Requirements

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in any relevant discipline.
  • A Minimum of 10 years of working experience; 3 years of Security experience in private sector (preferably industrial sectors) and / or 1 year working with International organizations with accountabilities and key measures listed above.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, challenging and rapidly expanding business environment.
  • Comprehensive substantive knowledge of best security practices, principles and objectives.
  • Advanced, proven experience in security management.
  • Well-refined interpersonal skills.
  • A working proficiency of written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work among a team of peers.
  • Ability to travel in country and handle multiple locations.
  • Ability to work in a challenging environment and to be connected 24/7.
  • Excellent use of MS office package.
  • Excellent organizational skills to be able to prioritize responsibilities meet deadlines and work in a multi-task environment.
  • Ability to work on any other Task or Duties that could be assigned or delegated.
