The Accounting Team Leader is a middle-ranking professional responsible for overseeing, developing and leading the company's accounting team. (S)He is responsible to meet the monthly accounting closing deadlines efficiently and accurately.

Job Description

• Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture, delegating tasks, setting deadlines and measuring performance;
• Continuously develop & motivate the team members;
• Deliver the monthly accounting closing cycles on time, in full consistently;
• Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts, producing error-free accounting reports;
• Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending;
• Provide technical support and advice on Management Accountant;
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems, procedures and policies;
• Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers;
• Assist with tax audits and tax returns;
• Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance;
• Support month-end and year-end close process;
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
