Job Description
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- A field engineer to provide professional support to our customers for all products we supply.
- Tasks will include maintenance, troubleshooting, field service, commissioning, start-up and repair services. In addition to some sales tasks.
Field Responsibilities
- Act as first customer contact during project warranty and after warranty period
- Perform investigation, troubleshooting, resolution and recommendation to issues identified in customer installation, working independently or under minimum supervision
- Perform services on-site, as well as remotely
- Perform scheduled services and on-call services in home country and abroad
- Assist factory acceptance testing and perform installations, start-ups and commissioning of our products
- Program, Configure, Commission and start PLC, HMI and Drives based systems for new projects as well as for retrofitting old machines from obsolete equipment
- Prepare, maintain and update documentation of performed services, customer contacts and service planning in business systems
Sales Responsibilities
- Identify and report sales opportunities
- Support proposals from company HQ with regard to the offered equipment
- Support the sales department during contract preparation and negotiation
- Perform assigned tasks / duties efficiently while strictly observing company business ethics, policies and good practices
- Develop Personal and Professional competencies as well as knowledge of company Products & Services
PRIMARY LOCATION:
- Egypt
OTHER POSSIBLE WORKING AREAS:
- North Africa (ALGERIA, MOROCCO)
- Middle East (UAE, SAUDI ARABIA, QATAR, KUWAIT, OMAN, BARHAIN)
- May require services to be performed also in other countries (to be defined)
Job Requirements
IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Egyptian, based in Cairo.
- Male
- Age: 25 - 40
- Valid driving license
- Passport (with no traveling restrictions)
- Excellent written and oral technical communication skills in English
- High school diploma minimum requirement, degree in Engineering is a plus
- Relevant experience as a Service Engineer in a Steel plant environment with particular emphasis on installation, commissioning and start-up
- Experience in working as a Field Service Engineer on equipment
- Knowledge and experience with applied processes and instrumentation
- Electrical and automation experience; specifically electrics and electronics (Siemens S7 PLC)
- Knowledge of programming with Siemens WinCC and Wonderware InTouch HMI software is a plus
