Job Description
- Interpret design sketches and technical specifications to develop accurate first patterns.
- Create manual and/or digital patterns using software (Gerber).
- Modify and adjust patterns based on fit sessions and feedback from design and production teams.
- Ensure patterns are production-ready and meet quality, sizing, and construction standards.
- Collaborate closely with designers, sample makers, and production teams to achieve design intent.
- Maintain and archive pattern files and documentation.
- Grade patterns to create size sets according to size charts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to garment fit, construction, and fabrication
Job Requirements
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a pattern maker in the apparel industry, preferably in formalwear
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and tailoring techniques.
- Proficiency in pattern software is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with good communication skills.
