Job Description
- Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
- Purchase all the needed products for the company
- Following up with the vendors to ensure the delivery of the bought products
- Approaching and opening with new vendors through meetings and phone
- Satisfy all the sales department and all the other DPT needs and deliver them in the exact delivery date
- Negotiating with the vendors to buy the cheapest products with Excellent quality
- Reduce the cost of purchasing by getting the most available discounts
- Adherence to the Purchasing DPT service level agreement by 90% at least
- Analyze vendors behaviors and prices on monthly basis
- Getting most of the products through installment
- Reducing the cash payment method in dealing with vendors
- Cooperating with the admin to deliver solid reports
- Creating and updating the vendors tree of the company and keep it in soft copy as a reference
- Doing Market survey on new products prices upon demand
- Building strong relationship with the vendors
- Creating deals with vendors to allow us to put their products in our show room as a samples
- Adherence to the company strategy and planning
- Searching for new vendors to back up and reinforce the current vendors tree
- Adherence to the company installment limit
- Managing the Purchasing representative and getting the most utilization of his working time
- Adherence to working hours and internal rules of the company.
Job Requirements
- Proven working experience as a Purchasing Manager
- Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
- Interest in market dynamics along with business sense
- A knack for negotiation and networking
- Ability to gather and analyses data and to work with figures
- Solid judgment along with decision making skills
- Strong leadership capabilities
- BS degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration.
- Excellent negotiations skills.
