Job Description
- Represent companies in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers
- Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures
- Examine and test existing contracts.
- Maintain records of goods ordered and received.
- Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers.
- Control purchasing department budgets.
- Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
- Prepare reports regarding market conditions and merchandise costs.
- Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
- Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power
- Determine quantity and timing of deliveries
- Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients.
- Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies.
- Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements.
- Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
Job Requirements
- Degree (Faculty of commerce is preferred)
- Background in Transportation field is prefer.
- At least 5 years’ Experience in a managerial position.
- Excellent in English.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Alexandria resident is a must.
- Leader.
- The ability to adapt to different client needs and to develop and maintain successful working relationships.
- The ability to make important decisions and cope with the pressure of demanding targets and tight deadlines.
- Tact and diplomacy.
