Job Description

Egyptian International Food Company, subsidiary of Motaheda-Holding, is one of Egypt's leading domestic refreshment beverage companies, manufacturing, bottling and distributing Tier 2 carbonated soft drinks under it own brand.

Main Job purpose

  • An amazing opportunity has arisen for an experienced manufacturing leader to join an organisation and promote change and development within the finance and administration space. Reports to the General Manager and part of the Executive Committee including : Sales and Marketing Manager, Plant Manager and Supply Chain Manager.
  • Ensure the accuracy of product costing (activity based costing) and product profitability, the financial transaction of the factory and compliance with the factory’s financial policies; review the factory’s financial statements, taxes calculations in addition to dealing with the external bodies in all financial aspects.
  • This role is very broad and diverse in nature, with your tasks currently including complete oversight of the financial operations with a team of accountants from processing of invoices and payroll through to monthly management reports, profit and loss, cashflow statements and balance sheet work.
  • You will also be responsible for much of the administrative support as well, once again ranging from routine tasks through to areas of great responsibility for the company. From maintaining staff records and office supplies, to health and safety, quality control and staff training, you can expect that no two days will be the same.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual budgeting process

  • Develop and maintain standard costs, develop metrics and tracking systems for major cost drivers.

  • Monitor the implementation of the factory/ organization ‘s budget on quarterly and monthly basis by reviewing the actual expenses Vs the budget and historical results to highlight the deviations and its reasons.

  • Review the financial policies by conducting the required amendments based on the laws, regulations and the factory/ organization‘s decisions to be disclosed in the financial statements.

  • Review the financial statements including the balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement.

  • Monitor and support the tax requirements of all its types, monitor the applications of the new tax laws to ensure proper tax position of the factory/ organization.

  • Establish and maintain invoicing system and accounts receivable, reporting overdue accounts.

  • Establish and provide financial reports and interpret financial information to the top management.

  • Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost reduction opportunities.

Job Requirements

Please note that without management experience within an FMCG or Food and Beverages manufacturing environment you will not be considered.

Possible ERP system implementations in future have been discussed as priorities for the right candidate.

  • Min 10 years of Experience
  • At least 5 years of proven experience as a Financial Manager in Food and Beverage industry or FMCG. (Soft Drinks considered a plus)
  • Experience in the financial sector with previous possible roles such as financial analyst
  • Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns
  • Proficient user of finance software
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used
  • A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
  • Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
  • BSc/Master degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • Professional qualification such as CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus
