Job Description

We are looking for a capable EV Power Source and Circuitry specialist for a 10 months Project.

The Role

  • You will be a part of a highly paced and challenging event creation project for 10 months with extensive national exposure.
  • You will be part of an organization team with the goal of planning, marketing and executing a competition between universities which is the first Electric Vehicle Rally in Egypt, through-out its complete life cycle of competing teams preparations technically through event marketing and identity creation all to event execution.
  • Passion and interest in automotive competitions and motorsport is a major advantage.
  • You will be part of the event organization technical mentorship team. Mentoring university undergraduate teams on how to design, manufacture and compete with an Urban Electric vehicle designed to be power efficient.

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for mentoring and supplying university undergraduate members with the required educational and technical support needed to guide them through the process of designing and manufacturing their teams Electric Vehicle that will be competing in the rally.
  • You will start by designing a prototype (guideline) EV Power source and Circuits system, that will be the base design for the competing teams and selecting the needed components that we will order to be provided to the competing teams
  • You will be conducting training sessions in the EV Winter Academy for the competing teams and reviewing design reports to short-list the best teams.
  • You will be conducting mentorship and guidance team site visits for each of the competing teams.
  • Additional duties as requested by Project Director.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in (Automotive, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering)
  • English language proficiency.
  • Proven knowledge and experience in EV Power Source Design and Control (including Battery selection, Control, power distribution and vehicle electric circuits design).
  • Passion to educate and share knowledge
  • Able to mentor undergraduates for a target based scheme
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Patience and professionalism
  • Reliability and discretion: you will often learn of confidential matters
  • Communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
