Job Description

Job Purpose:

To direct, and oversee the procurement activities for all SIAC's projects by setting overall responsibility for the technical procurement functions to ensure that the quality, cost and safety standards of SIAC are followed.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage, ensure integration of the department’s various functions and organize projects’ procurement services and activities and processes by applying best-practice processes, tools, and techniques, in accordance with procurement governance, processes, standards, and procedures.
  • Manage the selection of vendors for all projects’ needs by coordinating with the Project Managers on-site to identify the needs and requirements.
  • Manage and supervise the relationships with supplier chains and the negotiation and development of contracts with key suppliers, to ensure they comply with terms and conditions, regulations and legislation.
  • Review and oversee supplier performance reviews and supplier evaluation to maintain the quality of services procured and ensure positive impact on all projects’ time, quality and cost challenges.
  • Solve problems, in coordination with various parties (Internal and external) to streamline works to the SIAC's best interest, try to mitigate the disputes among different stakeholders of the procurement process.
  • Oversee and review price benchmarks and cost/benefits financial analysis for different suppliers and vendors to identify the most cost effective supplier of services and equipment when applicable.
  • Manage and oversee the development, implementation and coordination of all contracts/ procurements planned according to the specific policies and guidelines.
  • Approve comparisons, & Contracts according to SIAC policies and procedures.
  • Strengthen the stakeholders’ relationships-External and internal (to ensure the best interest of SIAC.

Job Requirements

  • Engineering Background
  • At least 15 years of experiences in the same field 5 of them, in a managerial role.
  • Excellent Knowledge about cost management, Market studies, and data analysis.
  • Excellent command of English Language.
