- This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated teacher of Physical Education to join our school and be part of a thriving department. We are looking to recruit a teacher who will be able to co-teach with other members of the department and someone who is also willing to take on certain groups individually to assist with the overall departmental coaching programme.
Teaching responsibilities:
- Be a role model for students, inspiring them to be actively interested in PE
- Make an impact on the experience young people receive through PE and sport
- Ensure lessons are planned in accordance with departmental scheme of work
- Assess, record, report on progress / attainment of pupils
- Priorities and manage time effectively, ensuring continued professional development
- in-line with the role
- Contribute to a full and extensive extracurricular programme
- Manage, coach and officiate sport teams
- Teach according to pupils’ educational needs
- Have a clear vision / focus
- Be passionate about the subject and communicate well with young people
- Maintain discipline in accordance with school procedures
- Ensure a high quality learning environment
Job Requirements
- Flexible and adaptable to different learning situations and teaching styles.
- Fluent English.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in working with students in the relevant age group.
- Experience with the British education system is preferred.
