                                                  Asten College British School is hiring - IT Manager

Job Description:

As the IT Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the school's technology systems and networks. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of all technology-related functions and providing technical support to faculty, staff, students and parents. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving our technology-driven vision and enabling effective teaching and learning practices.

Responsibilities:

  1. Technology Infrastructure Management:
  2. Develop, implement, and maintain the school's technology infrastructure.
  3. Ensure availability, security, and integrity of IT resources.
  4. Evaluate and recommend new technologies aligned with school goals.
  5. Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
    1. Provide technical assistance and promptly resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
    2. Conduct regular system checks, maintenance, and upgrades.
  6. System Administration and Documentation:
    1. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
    2. Maintain accurate IT documentation and monitor system performance.
  7. Technology Integration and Training:
    1. Collaborate with faculty to integrate technology into the curriculum.
    2. Support the implementation of smart boards, learning management systems, online Teams meetings and virtual communication and collaboration.
    3. Conduct training sessions to enhance technology literacy.
  8. School Management System:
    1. Manage the school's administrative systems, including the school management system.
    2. Ensure efficient functioning of various modules and collaborate on system enhancements.

 

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 3+ years in similar role.
  • Very good/Excellent English language skills.
  • Proven experience as an IT Manager or a similar leadership role, preferably in an educational or technology-driven environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of network infrastructure, server administration, and IT security practices.
  • Proficiency in managing Windows operating systems, as well as experience with educational software, learning management systems (LMS), smart board technologies, and online meeting platforms like Microsoft Teams.
  • Familiarity with Office 365 suite, including collaboration tools such as SharePoint and Teams.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and provide technical support in a user-friendly manner.
  • Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., CCNA, MCSA, or equivalent) is a plus.
