JOB PURPOSE : Jobholders at this level are responsible for leading work activities and working autonomously with minor direction towards predetermined long-term objectives.Jobholders might act as internal consultants and facilitators through providing guidance to deliver and perform operational activities.Their main operational role includes providing guidance in developing data governance roadmap and programs to ensure that data is consistent, secure, accurate, audited and documented, supervising data governance activities to advise on corrective actions, providing expertise in identifying improvement areas and recommending improvement actions to minimize facing data issues. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Follow-up on data governance latest news, trends, best practices and international standards to define needed updates in data governance policies, standards and procedures Review National Data Management Office (NDMO) approved standards and policies to recommend updates in ZATCA’s current data guides and ensure continuous adherence with NDMO requirements Conduct periodical assessments on ZATCA’s operating model (structure, roles, responsibilities, etc.) identifying needs and challenges related to interactions between entities to highlight data roles and data governance and compliance Design data governance related roadmap and tools and define governance program to ensure that data is consistent, secure, accurate, audited and documented Devise and update data governance KPIs in line with strategic objectives and Risk and Analytics guidelines and forward to internal parties to secure approval Communicate data policies, standards, strategy and roadmap with related stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of data requirements and foster a data driven culture Manage the implementation of data governance activities across ZATCA’s functions identifying noncompliant cases and ensure timely resolution Review functions and duties to allocate access rights to internal stakeholders and ensure limited information access securing data protection Develop and update information controls to protect ZATCA fro unauthorized access, breaches and vulnerability Conduct periodic checks to ensure compliance of related stakeholders with set strategy, plans, objectives, policies and procedures Identify improvement areas and develop accordingly needed improvement actions to minimize facing data issues and follow-up on approved actions to ensure proper implementation Develop reports highlighting risks and data governance findings and recommended improvement actions to ensure continuous compliance with applicable regulations and requirements Follow all relevant policies, processes and standard operating procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner Help in solving escalated problems and provide needed support for junior team to ensure work is carried out in an efficient manner Escalate complex problems to the relevant person to ensure cases/issues are closed properly Perform other duties as requested JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS : A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science or equivalent is required Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science or equivalent is preferred
