Job Description
- Evaluating the existing cost system, documentary flowchart, procedures and internal control.
- Providing suggestions to develop the existing costing system
- Auditing the issuing and consumption of raw materials used in production according to job orders.
- Reviewing procedures, production process, wastages rats and its treatment.
- Matching the delivered final products with job orders quantities.
- Verifying and analyzing the variances between standard costs and actual costs.
- Reviewing allocation basis cost drivers and classifications of MOH expenses.
- Verifying the accuracy of unit cost calculations, expenses allocation rates, cost drivers and cost centers.
- Reviewing and analyzing final products profitability.
- Evaluating and analyzing the productivity capacity.
- Making regular random physical count for the inventories items.
- Reviewing the monthly closing for cost Accounts and comparing between cost statement and income statement.to analyze reasons of variances.
- Verifying the accounting adjustments for under / overestimated of MOH and the COGS
- Verifying the accuracy of unit cost calculations and stated cost elements.
- Participating as a member of pricing committee for existing or new products.
- Verifying the accuracy of the inventories and WIP evaluation.
- Monitoring budget and analyze variances.
- Auditing estimated unit cost for suggested new products.
- Providing suggestions for cost-reducing and rising profitability.
- Perform effective risk and control assessments
- Complete audits on time and submit reports to auditing manager
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as an cost controller.
- In-depth understanding of cost, auditing and control practices
- Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Attention to detail
- Organizational and leadership abilities
- Integrity and reliability
- BSc/BA in Accounting or Finance; master’s degree and additional cost diploma are pluses
