Job Description
- Contribute to the design and development of Android applications
- Work closely with Product Manager, UX Designer and QA to develop new features
- Analyze and optimize application code for efficiency and performance
- Focus on innovation and strong coding practices.
- Experience designing clean and maintainable APIs
- Understands the best practices of mobile app design and creating UI layouts for multiple devices
- Capable of designing new features by applying the appropriate Design Patterns, and Object Oriented Programming concepts
- Experience with version control in a team environment
- Knowledgeable about working with RESTful web services
- Experience designing, building and implementing native applications in Apple iOS, or Google Android or Microsoft Windows Phones or Blackberry platforms
- familiarity with hybrid mobile application frameworks such as PhoneGap, MonoTouch, Sencha Touch, Corona, Appcelerator or others
- Strong background in architecture and development of mobile websites using Javascript, HTML5 and CSS as well as demonstrated experience building and consuming REST and JSON API’s
- Experience successfully creating interactive user experience and user interface screens, or worked on a team with professional UX and creative designers
- Ability to articulate the difference between native, web and hybrid applications and why mobility is different when it comes to project delivery
- Experience deploying mobile applications through public app stores such as iTunes or Google Play, corporate app stores
