• Job Details:• Al Faisal International for Investments (AFII) is a company that is owned by His Excellency Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani. His Excellency is one of Qatar’s leading entrepreneurs and was named by Bloomberg ‘Hidden Qatar Billionaire’.1 Business Analysis and Strategy Development • Responsible for the Business Analysis and Modelling function in the Transaction Advisory Department (TAD). TAD was acting as the Strategic Advisor for His Excellency. • Performed analysis for more than 90 projects that helped to save more than USD 500mn to His Excellency. • Developed business plans and project managed till establishment of Aiana, an initiative to set up an hotel management company with an Indian ambience, which will manage and operate upper scale hotels and resorts throughout the globe with an estimated investment costs of USD 6mn.2 • Prepared the business case and assisted in the negotiations for 004-Arabia, a joint venture with a German e-commerce business. The plan for 004 Arabia to be a medium sized enterprise providing e-commerce services to international retailers from its headquarters in the Middle East with an estimated investment of USD 4.5mn.3 • Developed business plan and assisted in negotiations for Dossa, a company that was set up with Italian partners to manufacture and distribute high quality shoes (mainly military and medical) targeting Middle East and Africa, Europe, and Russia with an estimated total investment of more than USD 250mn. • Conducted situational analysis, shaped vision; mission statement; and goals, and developed strategies with an action plan for Al Sawari Holding, a platform established to hold global investments in various industries including construction, manufacturing, healthcare, real estate, and hospitality. Project Management and Process Improvement • Leveraged the know-how from previous experience to play an active role in developing department and organization internal process and structure. This included developing clear job description and roles for each team member, standardization of processes and templates, and preparing and implementing SLAs between subsidiary companies that resulted in increase of performance and the efficiency of the team. • Created and managed market research library, a central repository for all completed research; resulted in improved productivity and reduced costs. • Oversaw the overall deliverable process, resources and activities to ensure the project is on tack and aligned to business objectives.
