Works collaboratively with a diverse team locally and regionally to create and manage cross-organizational, integrated marketing and brand strategies for Qalaa Holdings across its operations in Africa. (Egypt, Algeria, Kenya, Uganda, Sudan, and South Sudan)  Managing Qalaa Holdings Public Affairs strategy and managing relations with international, regional and local institutions and professional bodies on a variety of subjects in which the group has an interest.

Corporate Communications and Public Affairs ManagerFull Time

• Job Details:Planned and executed communications around key audiences and provide timely, quality, consistent and value added communications services. This included internal and external communications, media relations and all other communication services.  Managed Public Affairs, including handling stakeholder relations, CSR, reputation risks, public policy & advocacy; this is driven by relevance of “non-market” forces. This was done in close coordination with the Governorate of Assiut, Governorate of Sohag, academic institutions in Upper Egypt, international organizations such as the World Food Program as well as local NGOs.  Managed Corporate Brand as a valuable, global asset including putting down the strategy, designs the Corporate Brand Communications, as well as research, measurement & monitoring of the Corporate Branding.

Group Sustainability ManagerFull Time

• Job Details:Launched and led the group global sustainability practices, strategy, and programs across 12 mobile operators.  Developed and led stakeholder engagement strategy with all stakeholders and community leadership.  Developed the sustainability reporting process across the group using the United Nations Global Compact and Global Reporting Initiatives guidelines to increase the group’s sustainability leadership in the region.  Co-managed a group wide inventory exercise to understand and analyze the corporate responsibility strategy, structure, activities, measurement and impact of 17 mobile operators across the Vimpelcom group.  Championed the group local operations in the in the GSM Association mWomen, mLearning and mHealth working groups and implemented a number of related projects in Egypt, Pakistan and Bangladesh.  Managed a 3 years Global Campaign to Combat Human Trafficking in partnership with UNODC and CNN. Yasmine Mohamed Negm  Worked cooperatively with organizations to identify potential emission reduction measures that can be implemented cooperatively across local operations and created a group energy efficiency reporting guidelines.  Created long term partnership with international and local organizations and think tanks to create a strategic global philanthropy approach for local operations focusing on health, youth development, education and responsible corporate governance.  Managed a global relief campaign to help the affected communities during the flood season in Pakistan. The campaign was a collaborate partnership with UNICEF, WFP and the Red Cross and was implemented in Canada, Italy, Tunisia, Egypt, Greece and the U.S.  Represented the company as the official spokesperson for all sustainability related conferences, public events and meetings.
