- Job Details:1.Prepare for KPMG semiannual financial audit by ensuring the existence of all accounts analyses then review them to ensure correct amounts are in the breakdowns ( bank reconciliations, receivables , payables , income and expenses breakdowns ). 2.Preparing life company full financials, disclosures and their review with KPMG. 3.Ensure qualification free balance sheet on semi-annual basis, hard close on quarterly basis. 4.Ensure smooth monthly closing by maximum five working days after proper discussions with finance manager and CFO. 5.Calculate provision for debtors and other debit balances, retrograde provision, unearned premium provision, outstanding premiums provision and litigation provision. 6.Ensure all income, expenses items and invoices are correctly mirrored to it’s cost centers, to be able to determine separate units and products profitability. 7.Review expenses trend analysis against budget , also variance analysis Vrs budget. 8.Monitor and reconcile the company premiums that they are correctly reflected to Allianz books, since they are recorded from operations departments on systems other than Oracle Financials till they are posted to our books along with their related commission, reinsurance, stamps and issuing fees , also receipts for renewal premiums are correctly booked and income from policy loans. 9.Monitoring and authorizing the recording of other income resources resulting from dealing with external parties as rent and maintenance. 10.Review Tax payments (Withholding tax, Stamp duty taxes, Property tax and payroll tax). 11.Involved in a project for cleaning old unreconciled items in bank reconciliations. 12.Involved in upgrading the financial system from Oracle R11i to R12. 13.Reflect assets accounting in the books of the company, undertake physical verification of assets and reconciling with fixed assets module of Oracle also reconciling it with fixed assets register. 14.Review, monitor and control all investment entries for Life and Non Life. 15.Review all bank reconciliations for investments banks accounts. 16.Involved in implementation of Advent (Specialized investment system that is used in EFG Hermes and Belton investment assets managers) - upload files, prices and communication with Advent trainer, Develop proper monthly investment reconciliation after implementing Advent. 17.Develop written accounting procedures and manuals.

- Job Details:1.Determining the amount of idle cash "after eliminating pending cheques and expected expenses" , and using that amount to invest in money market instruments according to ACE global treasury guidelines and according to estimated maturity date , using current good connections with dealing rooms in banks. 2.Issuing quarterly Withholding Tax Report for Tax authority. 3.In Charge of Monthly ( 1% ) and annual ( 0.8% ) Stamp duty Payment to tax authority . 4.Preparing investment reports for funds internally managed by ACE and externally managed by EFG Hermes , for both " Egypt " and " United Arab Emirates regions " ,sending them to Management in UAE and New York . 5.Booking fixed assets monthly depreciation entry against Fixed assets register and in charge of yearly physical count to ensure all assets are reflected on books 6.Quarterly reconciliation or Balance sheet accounts excluding bank accounts. 7.Reviewing EFSA reports. 8.In Charge of bank reconciliations dealing with many banks as HSBC , CITI Bank , AWB , HDB , AAIB. 9.Owner of correctly classifying financial instruments on existing books for funds externally managed by ( EFG HERMES ) , requesting new reports to be designed from EFG HERMES to facilitate the correct mirroring for Balance Sheet and Profit or Loss items on our books , then doing proper reconciliation for these items. 10.Relating to Accounts payable management through reviewing issued expenses ( cheques , canceled cheques , entries and budget tracing ). 11.Responsible for justifying expenses that exceeded it's relating budget ( variance analysis report ) " cost drivers are reported also in separate report". 12.In Charge of monthly accruals and prepayments "Also created an automated sheet for that" that enables easily checking , reviewing and correct carrying balances forward. 13.Reviewing Claims cases and it's relating accounting entries. 14.Involved in implementing New Accounting System ( People Soft ) , that will be installed globally to ACE Group , to facilitate consolidation at head office " testing , training, preparing templates and creating reports ). 15.Starting the process of documenting current procedures in a proper way ( procedures for bank reconciliations , investment entries , prepayments , claims …) , then it will be followed by modification process to ensure that proper operations and check points are done.

- Job Details:1.Checking the daily done investment transactions done for the 10 portfolios ( selling, buying stocks , CD’s , Treasury bills , treasury bonds ,Corporate bonds and securitizations ). 2.Preparing the monthly NAV reconciliation that insures all the accruals and daily transactions are properly done and the trial balance figures matches the balances and figures of the NAV at the end of the month. 3.Responsible for the preparation of the main four large bank accounts reconciliations for the main four largest portfolios and resolving it’s pending reconcile items before closing the current accounting period . 4.Reviewer for all other bank reconciliations (around 60 bank accounts) dealing with many banks as AUDI Bank, CITI Bank, Misr Bank ,PEREIUS Bank , BNP Paris Bas Bank , Barclays Bank , NSGB Bank , THE UNITED Bank and CIB Bank and resolving it’s pending items. 5.Calculating monthly mathematical reserves and preparing it’s transaction for the 10 portfolios. 6.Dealing with auditors regarding issues concerning investment department. 7.Checking the Unit Price calculation every day for 10 portfolios upon the daily Net Asset Valuation “NAV “report sent from fund manger “ Belton Asset Management “. 8.Reviewing the daily surrenders and withdrawals ( the investors redeemed units and converting them to money upon the agreed unit price, for our 10 funds and transferring that money amounts from our investment accounts to customers accounts ) and their accounting Transactions . 9.Preparing monthly incoming premiums classified by products “ULS or Risk “ collected through banks, credit cards and direct Debit method and Posting them on our accounting system “ Microsoft Great Plains “. 10.Preparing Fixed Income Assets report every three working days ( clarifying how much for example : Time deposits are bought in each fund and if or not they are bought from the same bank in order to meet the proper diversification and in the same time still meet the portfolio’s terms and conditions regarding it’s percentage from the whole fund), and that report is reviewed by CIL’s Management team. 11.Preparing Asset analysis report every three working days ( that differentiates between the real growth in the portfolio due to capital gains , interests and dividends received and the money transferred to the funds due to the continuous investors injections to buy new units , as the whole 10 funds are open ended funds not closed ended ones ) that report is also reviewed by CIL’s Management team. . 12.Preparing the monthly CIL’s ALCO report concerning the 10 funds and investors withdrawals and new money injections, that report is also reviewed by CIL’s Management team. 13.Checking the daily prepared Unit Box for 10 funds ( that determines how much of the newly incoming fresh premiums will be transferred to the fund manger to invest it or if there will be amounts redeemed from the funds to meet the daily customers withdrawals ). 14.Repaired Bank reconciliations procedure that should be followed by any preparer that joins finance department. 15.Supervising the allocation process ( relating the amounts deposited in our premium accounts to the concerned policy owner either individual or corporate ), 16.Monitoring and resolving the pending amounts in our accounts that are deposited and yet not allocated to any policies and no customers had claimed it to be allocated to their polices ( In Our company and many others it is called “ Suspense Problem” and is treated upon aging priority of each pending amount ),
