Position: Logistics and Fleet Manager (Oct 2014 – Present ) • Responsible for the safe operation of EGC Group Fleet (i.e. 400 Vehicles of all types ) • Responsible for coordinating the storage, transportation and delivery of the Company Goods (Ice Cream , Chips , Snacks , Biscuits & Chocolate ) • Develop & propose the annual transport operating & capital budget to ensure an adequate transport service can be provided to meet the needs. • Develop the Fleet Policies & Procedures & cost effective schedules to ensure the best use is made of the transport vehicle assets. • Ensure that the entire fleet of transport vehicles is maintained in good working condition so that they can be used without any major disruption of the business requirement. • Provide replacement vehicles on time as needed by the business. • Ensure that the licenses of drivers, registration of vehicles & insurance is renewed on time for uninterrupted service. • Ensure that the vehicles are available whenever required & are loaded timely so that the company's product can be delivered to customers & branches on time. • Organize emergency delivery of products when required by the business. • Organize & supervise the activities & work of all staffs in the Fleet section to ensure that all work is carried out in an efficient & procedurally compliant manner • Use GPS systems to track vehicle locations and improve traceability in the event of a vehicle theft. • Use fleet management software to automate the collection and recording of data that enables them to monitor vehicle performance and costs. • Implement health and safety procedures.
