Coating Inspector Full Time

• Job Details:Preparing the inspection test plan and procedures, method statements related to painting blasting activities.  Material verification like paint/grit with respect to batch numbers, expiry and MSDS.  Ensure that the paint materials are issued at first in first out principle with respect to the shelf life.  Conduct Tool-Box-talk with crew members and make them understand the importance of safe handling of chemicals.  Conduct painter/blaster qualification test as per project requirements.  Blasting, painting/coating inspection which includes humidity check, blasting profile check, surface contamination tests, dry and wet film thickness check, and holiday pinhole detection checks, cross cut tests, pull-off/dolly test (adhesion tests).  Closely monitor the blasters and painters during execution and ensuring that the specification requirement is achieved.  Co-ordinate with client, TPI for the day to day painting/coating inspection activities.  Daily inspection reports generation and documentation for coating/painting activities.  Familiar with coating systems related to tanks, pipelines and water treatment plants.  Prevent painting activities to be carried out during adverse weather conditions.  Familiar with international codes & standards related to painting/coating industry.  Conduct high voltage holiday test on buried pipelines.  Co-Ordinate with the paint manufacturers for any faults or deficiencies found in paint application during painting.  Ensure that the procurement team is purchasing materials as per the clients approved vendor list.
