• Job Details:METROTECH (www.metrotech-hellas.gr) designs and manufactures industrial weighing systems, automation and control systems, machines and services to a variety of industrial sectors. Among its customers are chemical, pharmaceutical, food industries, oil refineries, etc. I was responsible for the automation and technology part of the systems and machines we manufactured. Within my duties was to: - Contact (potential) customers in order to understand their needs and suggest possible solutions. - Prepare the technical and cost analysis of the suggested solutions and manage the implementation of the one selected. - Make sure that the final product was manufactured as designed, performed as expected and realized within allocated budget and time limits. Primary duties and special knowledge: • Automation & Technology dept manager. • Suggest systems and machines that suit specific needs of the customer. • Perform technical and cost analysis of suggested solutions. • Design, implement and commission final products (systems and machines). • Project management. • PLC and HMI programming. • Program analysis (PC) and supervision of programmers. • Prepare technical documentation (operator and technical manuals, electrical drawings). • Training of customer’s personnel in using and servicing our machines and systems. • Training of junior engineers and technicians on industrial automation systems and industrial weighing systems. • Special knowledge of industrial weighing systems (configuration, calibration, programming). • Special knowledge on design and implementation of packaging machines. • Knowledge of industrial networks. • Technical support (on site/telephone/on-line), service and maintenance of industrial automation systems and machines. Achievements: • Created the Automation and Technology department from scratch. • Designed and implemented original and innovative automation systems and machines. • I was the first in company’s hierarchy after the owners.
