Corrosion Engineer

• Job Details:Providing corrosion engineering support across offshore platforms and Sangachal terminal's oil and gas facilities by identifying corrosion threats, determining damage mechanisms and developing effective preventative and mitigative measures to safeguard asset integrity. Collaborating with pipeline, integrity, process and production chemistry engineers to ensure equipment reliability through comprehensive inspections and thorough analysis of results, facilitating maintenance strategy planning which may include material selection and change, like-to-like replacement, composite or engineering wrapping, insulation, chemical injections or biocide/scavenger/inhibitor treatment activities. Cooperating with the execution team throughout the project lifecycle, from planning, scheduling to tracking and on-site execution. Conducting self-verification on site to ensure safety compliance and quality job. Preparing detailed scope of work for coating and cathodic protection activities related to storage tanks and vessels, as well as serving as the single point of accountability (SPA) for internal sacrificial anode layout development from scratch. Overseeing anomaly risk assessments, managing deferrals, and addressing engineering queries within the anomaly assessment and tracking (AAT) tool. Participating in impressed current cathodic protection initial design and development, as well as monitoring the data obtained from corrosion coupons and electrical resistance probes. Actively participating in BP technical networks and communities of practice, maintaining a strong awareness of technical learnings and developing links with specialists and engineers from a range of disciplines.
