    • Job Details:Proactively sourced and built a new team for the identification of accurate and up-to-date hazardous chemicals for the most diverse portfolio technology hubs across EMEA and the North America regions and managed aspects of the team. Sought out and introduced the company to a world-renowned chemical regulatory database and AI system to be used in the R&D dept internationally and also in wider teams across the whole company. Built a partnership with head and UK sustainability manager and scientists for creating ‘environmental product declarations’ (EPDs) for all R&D innovative new concepts eg. bio-based/hemp/natural fibre boards and managed team members. Managed polyisocyanurate (PIR), polyurethane (PU), extruded polystyrene foam (XPS), expanded polystyrene (EPS) and phenolic chemistries as well as mineral wool, wood fibre, silica and other bio-materials portfolios. Introduced to Kingspan a world-leading chemical database for all regulatory needs and emerging issues with real-time notifications by creating a fast and close strategic partnership with a chemical regulatory agency based in Ireland. Maintained central database of internal and external regulatory requests for all insulation products on Smartsheets, SAP and SharePoint. Planned and led regulatory review meetings for the global R&D (and wider) teams and transformed the way key regulatory changes impacts were being communicated to the company. Managed ‘emerging issues’ and upcoming restrictions of formaldehyde, P.F.A.S., blowing agents and other soon to be banned chemistries and timelines. Managed biocide issue relating to bio-material insulation board. Handled local European regulatory standards eg. DGNB criteria for self-declarations, standard SN-175, cradle to cradle material disclosures, Nordic ecolabelling. Proactively monitored, identified and evaluated business impact and communicated new and amended legislation and regulations eg. silica and created an internal team to mitigate impact on the business. Advised on acquisitions and business plans at a senior level. Introduced third party compliance parties’ procedures to the company. Provided training to business (commercial, strategic partnerships, R&D) to improve REACH awareness. Created cross-functional teamwork with EU and UK policy managers on government influences that could potentially impact the business and supported government and public affairs teams with insights on new regulatory policy proposals and schemes, marketing manager to forecast communications to sales teams.
