• Job Details:I am a chemical engineer having specializations in the field of environmental as well as energy fields. I have worked for one year at Improchem Mauritius, which is a subsidiary of Improchem Africa which itself forms part of the GE Group. Coming from a multi-ethnic country I have grown up while being exposed to people from diverse culture. This gives a natural ability to be more open to others and get along more easily with people from varied backgrounds. Being fluent in three languages also helps me forge enduring bonds with my clients. Furthermore my keenness to learn has encouraged me to start learning the german and the hindi languages. While working at Improchem we have been called upon numerous times at critical situations by clients, to settle their grievances related to environmental non-compliances and process misfiring. The challenge in such situations is threefold: Understand the process, identify the cause and provide the suitable solution. This sort of experience has allowed me to develop a more composed nature in the face of unexpected stressful situations. My job profile required that I manage wastewater and water treatment facilities as well as conduct routine water and waste audits in industries. My focus was to develop solutions to the client which would be not only cost-effective but sustainable as well. Currently in my MTech I have the opportunity to develop my skills in simulation and modeling software, as well as knowledge in the field of renewables and sustainability. I have undertaken various projects in the environmental and sustainability field. My ability to converse fluently in three languages also helps me in develop strong bonds with my co-workers as well customers. As an individual I wish to contribute to an organization where a constant enhancement of skills is present. I am keen to learn new things and look forward to new challenges
