• Job Details:Responsible to Plan, Implement and Maintain Systems, Applications, Network and Security Infrastructure to meet the Business Requirements of the University. Overall responsibility of IT services in Sharjah campus. | Plan, deploy and ensure the smooth running of all IT Systems and Applications Developments, some not only for Sharjah campus but for both Abu Dhabi & Sharjah (such as Mail / blackberry / Intranet / Web applications / Share point / Exams system/ intake (screening & interview) system, with Hands-on approach to server system administration / maintenance & troubleshooting and ensure Security, Backup and Disaster Recovery of these Servers & Applications.| Plan and Deploy and Support Network and Security Systems.| Ensure the smooth running of all Network elements in order to maintain high availability. | Ensure secure access to the network for remote users. | Maintains documentation of network layout, automated software processes, configurations and other documentation necessary to reproduce the current network environment.| Supervise and manage the IT team (Administrators, Computer Programmers, Support Specialists, and other computer-related workers), oversees IT execution to ensure work is done in a seamlessly and timely manner. In addition as needed helps my team resolves issues; provide troubleshooting & conflict resolution as 2nd/3rd tier Helpdesk support. | Evaluate user needs and system functionality and ensure that ICT facilities in Sharjah campus meet these needs.| Ensure software and hardware IT Asset management strategy is in order, including maintenance of components, inventory and related documentation.| Implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and associated training plans for infrastructure administration, support and security initiatives, also ensure that software licensing laws are adhered to.| Write request for proposals (RFPs), select resellers and follow-up on service level agreements (SLAs).| Establishes and maintains relationships, and negotiates with third-party vendors and contractors on the purchases of IT needs and services.| Develops and manages the Sharjah campus IT budget.

• Job Details:Provided Project management for all new IT systems implementations.| Documented procedures others can follow to do the work necessary in the computer systems.| Ensured the smooth running of all IT Systems and Applications, including anti-virus software, print services and email provision.| Provided Systems and Applications Analysis, wrote request for proposals (RFPs), select resellers and followed-up service level agreements (SLAs) | Provided Data Base Administration (DBA) in Oracle, MySQL and MS SQL. | Provided Systems administration on Novell/Windows/Unix/Linux serving systems (this includes: Novell NDS, NDPS, MS WINDOWS 2003 AD, IIS, Apache, MS SQL, MS Exchange 2007, BlackBerry Enterprise (BES), MySQL and Oracle9i-10g servers). | Supervised Technical support team, and provide computer technical support in person, remotely, via telephone, or via email to all staff. | Was responsible for Internet, Intranet, e-learning and dynamic web Applications developments.| Provided teaching assistance on labs for Computer Technology/Computer organization /Unix and C subjects | Evaluated user needs and system functionality and ensured that ICT facilities in campus meet these needs.

• Job Details:Provided Database design for department's Labs systems and applications. | Provided System Architect of labs local area networks, NT Systems administration. | Provided Technical support: SW/HW installation, configuration and Maintenance of all staff & student PC Labs in the Department. | Helped teaching staff in developing web & e-materials.
