      • Job Details:Appnetics was established in 1986 as a software developer and system integrator focusing on vertical markets such as Healthcare and Financial Services. Between 1995-98 it was the prime contractor for a USAID program for the automation of Egyptian Court System. In 1999 it took the lead as Project Manager and Technology Pathfinder in a joint venture between the parent company NTC, and Hewlett Packard in building the first purpose built commercial datacenter (on 60,000 sq. ft) in Egypt and all of Africa and the Middle East. From 2000 till 2017 Appnetics provided outsourced mission-critical Core Banking and related application services for banks and financial institutions. Appnetics also provided application implementation services, business continuity services and SaaS to other major organizations such as Mobile Operators and Universities. As a result of political and economic developments in Egypt since 2011, many customers changed their business models and took back in-house most if not all outsourced services. Appnetics ceased operation in 2017. Mission Objective: Lead the company efforts in the evolution of products and services as well as platforms and tools and smooth the transition to new paradigms. This involved two main tasks. • Develop new national level applications and application services to enhance our portfolio of products in the Financial Services Space • Upgrade and deploy new technologies, platforms, and tools. Working closely with the company’s COO and CTO, my responsibilities included innovating, architecting, and planning new products, and managing their development projects. National Level Application Projects: • Design and development of iPension, a pioneering Corporate Pension Fund Administration System for the Egyptian market to be offered as SaaS, (2013- 2017) • Development of a Credit Bureau (KYC) satellite’ application to conform with Icelandic Credit info “Credit Bureau” specifications, as mandated by the Central Bank of Sudan, initially for the Sudanese Egyptian Bank, but deployed in 17 other banks. • Development of an interface between a few different commercial core banking applications used by local banks in Sudan and the Unified Check Clearing System in the Central Bank of Sudan. • Development of an Interface to automate messaging between core banking applications in Sudanese Banking Space and the unified SWIFT service in Central Bank of Sudan. • Development of ATM interface between the new national switch at the Central Bank of Sudan and all Sudanese commercial banks. Platforms and Tools: I manage Development teams working in SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008 R2 and 2012 using Visual Studio 2010 and 2013. Code repository was kept on Visual SourceSafe 6.0, Team Foundation Server 2012, and Apache Subversion 1.9. I use Apache Cordova and Ionic for Android and iOS development. Oracle 12c.
