International Programs SpecialistFull Time

• Job Details:" Manage incoming short-term special academic programs: o Host incoming short-term (one to twelve week) academic programs, including arranging the logistics of housing, lectures and classroom facilities o Arrange for and manage study-visits to AUC by special groups from foreign universities, including establishing contracts for each visit, budgeting their visits and managing the budget o Arrange lectures, lecturers and classroom space o Help arrange housing and food services and problem-solve during the visit o Facilitate visits to AUC by representatives of foreign universities, including providing campus tours for such visitors o Managed special academic programs for the following universities: Westmont College, St. Olaf College, Tsinghua University, Peking University and Edinburgh University " Responsible for organizing the first Global Fashion Entrepreneurship Competition at AUC with Farida Temraz of Temraz House of Fashion in collaboration with the Council of International Fashion Designers. " Responsible for writing up detailed and extensive reports, on student mobility, events, internationalization at AUC, tuition structures, programs at AUC and abroad, for the Provost and President's Offices. " Responsible for managing the outgoing summer abroad programs: o Oversee and maintain records for AUC students intending to study abroad in the summer o Correspond with overseas summer programs regarding the programs and the status of AUC students (e.g. acceptances and withdrawals) o Assist AUC students in their preparation for departure (visa, travel) and the pre-departure orientation o Communicate directly with partner universities o Develop guidelines, fact sheets and database for the summer and the graduate program o Design relevant publications and announcements o Work on a marketing campaign for the summer program o Help to design relevant publications and announcements " Responsible for managing the outgoing graduate exchange programs: o Oversee the graduate-level exchanges; with particular emphasis on providing information and advice to AUC graduate students who will study abroad for a semester and maintaining their records. o Responsible for handling the AUC graduate exchange program affiliated universities " Responsible for organizing the pre-departure orientation. " Coordinate inquiries, applications and registration for AUC students wishing to pursue graduate and summer study-abroad programs.
