    NABARRO INTERNATIONAL LAW FIRM

    Jun 2011 - Jul 2011 -1 month

    • Job Details:An internship at ‘Nabarro International Law Firm' exposed me to new environmental projects that involved carbon capture. I had to provide information to clients on the environmental impact of various development plans, including anaerobic digestion faculties. This allowed me to develop presentation skill as I had to convey the plans clearly and effectively. During this process my mentors also trained me to record important information and how to represent the firm's stance on issues effectively. This meant I had to consider not only the environmental impact but also the legal complications of a development plan. This experience advanced not only my knowledge of chemical, mathematical and technological processes but my organisation and teamwork skills.

    Achievements

During my school and University years, I joined Football, Lacross, Ballet, Boxing and Rugby. This enhanced my social skills and forced me to organise my time and balance my life. Furthermore, I joined a few academic societies, to enhance my knowledge and utilise as many university opportunities. As well as the Engineering society, I joined a variety of others. I wanted variation and to broaden my knowledge range and skills as much as possible, therefore I joined societies that I've never had previous experience in prior to university. This included, Model UN, Current Affairs and Politics Society, Debate Society, Economics Society and Computing Society. I was able to carry out voluntary projects and produce reports and research as part of some of these societies. This enhanced my technical skills and abilities, and helped me gain the ability to view concepts from varies angles and viewpoints.
