• Job Details:manage day-to-day financial transactions related to freight forwarding activities. prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals. ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and receipts. collaborate with the operations team to validate financial data and ensure accuracy. assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for management review & to be submitted to the chartered accountant office and the audit team. monitor and reconcile accounts, including bank statements and general ledger accounts. support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes for the company. contribute to process improvements and efficiencies within the finance and accounting functions. ensure timely reporting of all monthly financial information. prepare and file tax returns (vat, income, etc.). assist in preparing proforma disbursement accounts (pda) & final disbursement accounts (fda). familiarity with shipping agency operations, port accounting, and vessel financial processes. knowledge of accounting software and systems {quickbooks & microsoft excel}.
