- Job Details:A combined role of fleet, logistics and facilities management of a security project in support of oil and gas clients until the contract ended, the prime client being Schlumberger. Production and maintenance of a stores register for all serial numbered and none serial numbered items including but not limited to weapons, ammunition and high value items etc. Supply and maintain all issued equipment for the project, requesting all exchanges and repairs through higher authority. Control of all project owned and leased vehicles amounting to 50+. Organise service schedules, planned maintenance, breakdown procedures etc. Weekly checks of the teams to make sure they are compliant with all safety, medical and operational equipment. Daily/weekly check of the living accommodations and catering to ensure the client is providing the correct life support. Prepare a weekly report on damaged or deficient equipment. Produce in depth weekly report on all the above by means of a master stores register. Instrumental in the logistical mobilisation/demobilisation of 5 drilling rigs static security force.

Management of 2 expat deputies, an expat “flying fitter” and 7 local national mechanics. Other duties were, but not limited to, heavy involvement with the FCO for advice and specifications in the procurement of new armoured vehicles for Embassy use, disposal procedures for “end of life” vehicles and maintaining a close working relationship with numerous armouring companies with regards to recurring technical faults and modification requirements. IT literate, fuel point accountability, H&S compliance (both KBR and FCO), sourcing of reliable suppliers, maintaining a servicing schedule and vehicle register. Dec 2010 – March 2012: Fleet/Workshop Manager – FCO Basra - KBR Manager of 2 facilities for KBR UK, one for the FCO and commercial customers at the Contingency Operating Base in Basra Iraq, one a commercial business in the southern oilfields at Iraq Energy City. Responsible for the budgetary costs and running of 2 busy repair and maintenance workshops dealing with soft skinned vehicles, armoured 4 x 4’s, heavy forklifts and trucks. This amounts to around 300 vehicles. Organisation and allotment of work, sourcing and requisition of spare parts and tools, health and safety, legal compliance, training requirements and sourcing of new business. Instrumental in the setting up of a new vehicle repair facility for KBR UK at Iraq Energy City, Bergessia. April 2008 – Dec 2010 - Heavy Equipment Transporter (Het) Operator – Ftx Logistics (KBR) Heavy Equipment Transporter Operator used in the transportation of Main Battle Tanks and other heavy equipment for the MOD. Mainly within the UK and Germany but also in Afghanistan and Canada. In holding this position I was a British Army reservist and completed an Operational Tour of Afghanistan (Op Herrick 11) in March 2010.
