Responsible for identifying, satisfying and commercializing business opportunities for Emerging Markets Information Service (EMIS) product line in the MENA region. Apart from a comprehensive understanding of user workflow and content/functionality needs within the target markets, should develop a full understanding of competitive offerings in those market spaces, while serving as the primary reference point for all aspects of the EMIS product line within my countries of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and document a product specification and business strategy for Middle East which is consistent with EMIS goals and meets defined revenue targets
• Identify key content sets that are required for EMIS products in each of the countries or markets I responsible for.
• Identify key functionality required for EMIS products in each of the countries or markets I have.
• Manage the daily processes of the local & regional EMIS product team, including Content Editors, Information Specialists and Formatters, and coordinate with local technical teams to ensure that all content is added to the databases and displayed within the product according to EMIS defined lead-time and display standards.
• Establish and maintain regular, consistent and direct customer contact sufficient to ensure an intimate knowledge of user workflow, needs, trends and perceptions and sufficient to meet needs specified by EMIS management
• Serve as the primary, local, “single point of contact” for EMIS team members located outside my country
• Project manage the development, rollout, pricing, positioning and communication of product releases
• Work with the commercial and marketing teams to ensure the systematic collection, documentation and analysis of customer and prospect feedback and, where appropriate, ensure that this feedback is reflected in future product releases.
• Stay abreast of market conditions/trends and provide sales and marketing teams with information on competitor activities and new technologies.
• As necessary, coordinate actions and priorities with EMIS regional or global product or development teams.
• Responsible for new content acquisition according to identified sources.
• Managing relationship with existing data providers including contract maintenance and renewal and maintaining periodical payments
