I joined as Head of Project Management and was promoted to Country Manager after only three months, now managing the company, in particular its financial well-being, investments, portfolios and business ventures. I oversee a work force of 250 staff within nine departments.

The success in my previous 2 jobs led to my appointment with 00, which deals with developing web-sites for e-commerce.

The business was initially running at a loss. Once again, I made sure to gain understanding of the
company and its staff and was able to turn around a loss making company to a hugely successful one within a short time using a combination of creative analysis and market research.

The work is very varied. There are many business proposals and I assess the risks and desirability of each. If a project is approved, I negotiate with interested backers, make deals and then assign people to the project. Then I determine how the performance of employees will be determined, making sure that all are proficient in their roles, particularly senior staff.

As of writing, the company now has launched seven major projects from scratch, all of which are
generating good profits.

 Launched many major e-commerce platforms including operations of business development, studio production, back-end development, digital marketing, customer service, controlling full operational cycle

I founded, financed and managed a fashion brand that uses the latest techniques in garment digital printing, allowing for leading edge technology to both design new patterns and emboss these onto garments.

This was a personal challenge for me: to use the latest computer technology and apply it in a creative and meaning way. With my previous success at Convergys, I was able to gather sufficient financial backing to implement digital printing in the fashion industry. I also head-hunted key workers, contacted key markets and set the whole operation running. Within a short while, the new brands were marketed over the internet, to retailers and through personal contacts.

This venture, I am proud to say, has been a complete success in a field that has been personally
rewarding on many levels. It received prestigious awards from the industry within the first year of its inception. I exerted tremendous efforts keeping abreast of developments with regards to technology and checking budgets, health and safety requirements on a quarterly basis.

I was promoted after only four months from joining the firm from Senior Support Professional to
Operations Manager in a firm specializing in BPO, selling customer and information management products to large corporations. The work consisted of managing daily contact center operations for a Canadian company, and in providing directives to an initially small team, which soon expanded under my management.

How did I increase the company size from only 15 full time workers to over two hundred in five years?
Firstly I made sure to understand the nature of the business and the capabilities of the current staff. I decided that the service could be improved in all ways by ensuring that the staff received better training and that their performance would be evaluated by new criteria. A premium was put on quality of service and making every effort to meet contractual commitments within time and budget, This soon made a difference.
