Phase Change Materials (PCMs) Research Engineer

• Job Details:Designed and manufactured new parts to optimise process efficiency using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Hexagon production machining. Led collaboration with engineers and external universities, answering technical queries and preparing SOPs and risk assessments for lab equipment. Conducted hands-on tests on approximately 40 nano-enhanced PCMs using THB-100 and DSC equipment. Incorporated new methodologies using lean principles to double sample preparation rate while reducing measurement uncertainty to below 1%, directly improving experimental accuracy. Validated sample results through FEA and CFD simulations in Abaqus CAE, and ANSYS CFD. Trained and supported new team members to maintain good flow during experimental setups.
