- Job Details: Responsible for all of the dispatching, routing, and tracking of delivery vehicles. Planning, organizing, managing, controlling, and coordinating the work activities and resources necessary for execution of transportation project including the adoption of adequate project management processes and procedures in order to ensure the transportation of goods are executed on schedule. Consult with Project staff to review work plans and approve/delegate their responsibilities and tasks in terms of maximization of the fleet utilization. Review project proposal or plan to determine time span, cost constraints, necessary procedures for project completion, optimal utilization/availability of fleet and resources. Guide in the development of detailed work plan with clearly delineated procedures, resource and time limitations, and the required personnel. Ensure appropriate project management software is available for the team. Coordinate and monitor their activities to guarantee adherence to work plan schedule and budget. Ensure the project work is monitored continuously in order to ensure work is as per schedule. Confer and cooperates with Division Manager and others in formulating, implementing administrative & operational customer relations policies and procedures. Analyse expenditures, and other financial reports of the project to develop plans, policies, and budgets for increasing profits and improving services. Ensure proper reviews of transportation schedules, worker assignments and routes are done to ensure compliance with standards for personnel selection and safety. Recommend or authorize capital expenditures for acquisition of new equipment or property to increase efficiency and services of the operation. Ensure that the project staff are competent as well as trained adequately. Manage and support team effectively to enhance execution of various transportation services. Follow procedures for reporting on performance, budgets and other reports required from time to time to the Division Manager. Outsource fleet whenever required & maintain the contracts with transporters.
