Airport Trail Tunnel Project (CAD 180 Million) The scope of works included a 620-metre Airport Trail tunnel under the new runway at the Calgary International Airport. The tunnel is 36 metres wide and has a vehicle clearance of 5.3 metres, over 600,000 cubic metres of earth and rock was excavated, over 2.5 kilometres of water and storm water utilities have been installed along with approximately 45 kilometres of electrical conduit, 12,000 tonnes of reinforcing steel was installed, concrete work on the structure itself began with the installation of footings followed by forming and casting of the tunnel walls and roof. A total of 50 concrete sections were poured. A total of 58,000 cubic metres of concrete was poured during the construction of the tunnel. Thirty-two 100-horsepower exhaust jet fans, weighing 2,000 pounds each, and 1,380 lighting fixtures were installed onto the ceiling of the tunnel. Various traffic control devices, lane control and life safety systems have been installed in the tunnel 2. Calgary Ring Road Connection – 114 Avenue S.E. from 68 Street S.E. to Stoney Trail (CAD120 Million) This project included the construction of a four lane roadway connection between 114 Avenue S.E. and the South East Ring Road, upgrading the intersection at 68 Street and 114 Avenue S.E., installation of traffic signals, constructing pathways/sidewalks, implementing a new stormwater management system, installation of street lighting and the relocation of utilities MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES • Management of all aspects of delivering a project on highways, bridges, drainage and infrastructure development works • Managing the construction supervisors to facilitate delivery of construction, coordinating logistics, permitting, commissioning and handover activities to contractual technical, budget, schedule and quality requirements • Interfacing with Client, Consultant, Construction and Commercial Teams to ensure coordination and reporting is of a level that assists in the timely delivery of contract deliverables Monitoring works to confirm, they are being carried out in accordance the Operations strategy, standards, policies, procedures and best practices • Liaising with the Engineering Team to assist in the execution of design solutions that promote constructability and value engineering • Monitoring and reporting on the performance of the construction supervisors and the contractors • Ensuring best safety practices employed during construction • Obtaining the required support to assist in the timely payment of invoices and resolution of variations and claims

Interchange Project (CAD 60 Million) The project included new interchange at Glenmore Trail and Ogden Road, including a new bridge over Ogden Road, new roadway on Glenmore Trail between Ogden Road and Barlow Trail, new bridge over CPR and CNR tracks, Western Headworks Canal and future Southeast LRT tracks, realignment of Ogden Road, implementation of new storm water management in construction area and relocation of water and sanitary lines as necessary, utility relocations, improved street lighting, construction of sidewalks and pathways and landscaping 2. Highway 63 Twinning (CAD200 Million) This included twinned 36-kilometer stretch of Highway 63 north of Wandering River in Northern Alberta. We used new technologies contributed to the early completion of the safer, completely divided four-lane roadway. This project presented an opportunity for Jacobs, supported by Alberta Transportation, to research a new and greener paving technology, called Warm Mix Asphalt (WMA). WMA allows for paving and mixing at lower temperatures, cutting fuel consumption and decreasing the production of Greenhouse gases compared to conventional Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA).
