• Job Details:During my time at Al-Ahram Weekly, the English weekly edition of Egypt’s largest newspaper and publishing house, I acquired skills and practical experience in the following: • Ethics and basic principles of journalism. • Various forms of journalistic writing and editing (political, economic, social, etc.) used in Al-Ahram’s website and printed newspaper. • Finding and selecting topics and stories, conducting interviews and questionnaires, and writing engaging soft and hard news articles. • Video Journalism and the relation between traditional media (print) and new media (digital) practices. • Practical training on various technologies and software used in the field.
